The weariness goes deep; a hollow feeling that can't be filled with bubble wrap or packing peanuts, fleeting moments of love or life. No more tears, just crusted remains.

A Creative Mess- highverbalfan
choral
“A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mate’s purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, and make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life.” ~Elizabeth Gilbert

Repeating Patterns
Who says time travel isn't possible. I feel as if moments repeat themselves all the time. Situations might be slightly different, but just like déjà vu; the feeling is still the same. Deep, hallow, knocking you down like gravity has suddenly struck up a vendetta against your bones. But all the same you pull up against it, exerting an opposite force just to keep your head up. The effort to shoot for the stars becomes more of a burden with every failed attempt. You start accepting star gazing instead; feet firmly planted on something solid, even if it’s on the edge of a roof. When you slip off the edge you lay on a grassy hill to grasp familiar shapes from the clouds. When the clouds disperse you settle for constructing castles in the sand. Building epic structures that will dissolve in the surf in a day’s time. But you still let the sand trickle through your fingers, compacting the fine grains, forcing them into shapes they were never meant for. Even though you know it will erode, you still build a city whose streets your imagination can roam though be it for a moment.
Time and time again you persist. What kind of dreaming will you settle for?
